Took him long enough. Video for Successful. Drake ft. Trey Songz
This version will be on Trey's new album...New verses from Trey and all of that stuff.
The WareHouse sits down with the one and only.... High DEPinition.....
Recently, The Warehouse got the chance to sit down and talk to the man behind the lens of the all of those videos you see from OT RECORDS. High DEPinition. You know videos like this one?
CW- Evening fam. Thank you for taking the time and sitting with me. Lets tell the people out there more about you. Where are you originally from and how old are you?
DEP- Thank you for having me my man. That's what it is. I moved here from Poland when I was nine. Father moved here first and worked and bought family back to the States. I am 24 years old.
CW- I can see where the work ethic came from already...
DEP- For sure...
How did you get started directing videos?
DEP- (Wry chuckle and long pause) That's A LONG STORY. You have time?
CW- Of course. Proceed.
DEP- I have always loved music and knew that I wanted to be involved in it. In some capacity. Whether it be behind the 'boards' in the studio or what have you. NEVER did I think I would end up being a video producer though. That was not the plan at all. Actually, I used to be a rapper but stopped doing that at about twenty. I just felt that I was better suited to be behind the scenes. I even started my own label and was content with just doing the every day things a label head does....
CW- So wait a minute? You used to actually get behind the mic and run your own label?
DEP- Yeah something like that..(Chuckles) I just wanted to fall back behind the scenes and do things like...Managing artists. Engineering work. The lil things. I did it all. At the time, I also started attending school at the Delaware College of Art & Design. Video Animation was my major. I wasn't really feeling 'em like that but I took some Computer Animations courses. I felt like I was wasting money and sh#t and was very disinterested in the whole thing. It wasn't until I took a Video Class that I became interested. That's were THIS truly started. That was a class I REALLY enjoyed and I felt like I got a lot out of it. That started my passion for videos. I ended up graduating with an Associates degree. I felt like I could do more with videos but I was a lil ignorant to the fact that they didn't have to be done on a MAC. You see, the classes I took were all done on a MAC and I had a PC. I didn't have no real equipment and since I learned on a Mac, I thought I was beat. Turns out a producer on my label had a friend who did some video work on a PC. The work turned out pretty decent too. Needless to say, I was shocked after thinking that the type of work I wanted to do could only be done a on A MAC! Anyway, the producer got a copy of the program for me and I messed around with it for a few days. One of my friends needed a video shot so I did it. A few days later with a 300 dollar cam corder, I shot my first video. The video got a lot of support from local barbershop Millennium Cuts and the patrons. Over time, I just kept working with the program. Perfecting my craft and shooting videos and posting them up on YouTube. The videos on YouTube got a great response and I took off from there. Starting getting more requests for work and here we are...
(Stops tape.) A profound and true quote from DEP:
"When things like that happen, they happen for a reason.." - DEP @ falling behind the scenes with his own label and ending up doing video directing.
So tell me a lil about your first project with an artist not affiliated with you and your label?
DEP- I worked with Danny Rich, an R&B artist on a song titled "She's A Winner". It was a song about a girl Danny Rich obviously felt was a 'winner'. The video was set in the '20s. Up until that point, for the most part all the videos I had done were done on the fly with little to no meetings prior 'till. Last minute. Which was cool. I am used to that. This video ,however, was the first full conceptual video done with full treatments. Matter of fact, Danny Rich and I forged a business relationship that has to led future collaborations on other videos as a result of the collabo. We are in business you could say.
CW- Who does video work besides Hype Williams do you like?
Well of course you have to give it up to Hype 'cause it is Hype. Period. I am the type of person who does not want to get caught up in liking one director or one style, however. I just like doing my own thing. I do respect other people's work and a few videos but other than that I like to do me.
CW- Okay, DEP. Very impressive. Quick questions time. First thoughts only? Bet?
DEP- I'm good with that...
CW- What are your favorite types of music? Favorite songs?
R&B, hip hop and old soul..Feeling that new 'Forever' joint ft. Drake, Weezy, Em and 'Ye
CW- What is your must read book at moment:
Reading a book "The Filmmakers Handbook"...Gleaning information from that. A must read for anyone in film.
CW- What is the one piece of equipment that you don't have that you would like to get your hands on?
DEP- A better film camera...George Lucas used it to make the latest installment of the Star Wars series. Panasonic AJ-SDX900
What is your latest project?
DEP- Funny you should ask that. I just finished up a joint with Young Chris ft. Freeway and Beans call 'Last Two'. It can be seen at AllHipHop.com...
CW- (Look of shock on my face as I just saw said video and did not know he had done the video) Well...well....well...That's major fam.
DEP- Thank you for that appreciate it.
(Here's a look at said video)
'Last Two' by Young Chris ft. Freeway and Beanie Sigel.

CW- Anything else major you want to tell us about?
DEP- Actually, there is. As you may or may not know, Freeway has his own label called Free Money Records and there will be special announcement coming soon so stay tuned!!
CW- Final question. What is your goal?
DEP- To put myself and the whole OT RECORDS movement on the map. As far as I know, we are the only ones doing this on this level and I want to keep rising.
CW- My man, you are well on your way! I have been checking out your work and can see the growth in it. I wish you much success. I want to thank you for taking the time to sit with me....
DEP- ...I thank you for taking out the time and it was a pleasure. 'Preciate it.

Twitter Person of the Week- MKrob
Yeah I know, you thought I was going to keep featuring females. Nope. Sorry. I know some dope dudes too. This is one of them. He really doesn't NEED this exposure. Here's why.
His blog is THE SHIT. Period. It is a 'dedicated' blog to sports. All sports. He covers it well too. Real slick looking place. Click the link and check it out.
He is a good dude, an avid sports fan and ACTUALLY GOES TO SPORTING EVENTS LIKE WNBA GAMES. (Where he often twitpics things so you feel like you are RIGHT THERE. Including some for yours truly of the lovely Angel that plays for Atlanta's franchise.) Follow him here:

Twitter 2 X Chromosome of the Week- @Thebelladestiny aka Destiny The Prototype
DISCLAIMER: Everyone appearing here may or may not have a 'website'. I know I started off with a doozy and she had a website but that is NOT a requirement for this. More than likely there will be 'every day' people here and the OCCASIONAL person who has a site or who is a model. It will be more like 'people who SHOULD HAVE A SITE' rather than 'who has one'. Ya dig? Okay, cool. On with this Week's pick
TheBellaDestiny
I am not going to muddle this one up with too many words. She loves Sports, she tweets back, THE OBVIOUS, and she is a very nice person to boot. Not an 'air' about her at all. Go check her out here on Twitter and here.

Well, I picked one. I picked the Storm.
So far so good. It does all that I have been warned about. (The hard reset needs, vivid pics, all in one device, a need for the 'nipple' and all of that) I still love it. Lets see if I do 28 days from now when it is the last days that I can swap it out.
So far though, so good. Music loaded (Yes, with that good "Stand Up Man" on it too Shizz..) and pics too. Does not mean I won't stop putting up pics, vids of other phones. I will still be doing that. Just thought I would update ya'll since you are watching. lol

Shizz Nitty & OT Records Presents: The Monroe Monster
The boy Shizz and his crew OT Records are working hard on their craft I see. I have been waiting to see if they could do it again. Of course I WANT them to succeed so that is not it. I was waiting with GOOD anticipation. Don't get it twisted. They did not disappoint me with this new offering called the Monroe Monster. The name is an ode to notorious "Nickel"(5th St.and Monroe St)on the WestSide of Wilmington, Delaware (for those of you not familiar with the area) Hence the name, the Monroe Monster. Don't you worry though, the Monroe Monster (A.K.A. Shizz Nitty) is linked up all over the city as is the rest of his crew, as they all hail from different parts of Wilmington. So this is not a 'set' tape. This is for everyone in the city. Lets be clear on that early as to not get it misconstrued. Wilmington and the WHOLE STATE for that matter, is TOGETHER in this and full out supports the boy and his crew.
I did my usual thing I do with tapes when I get 'em. Took some separate listens. Mixed it in with the other joints on my regular rotation. Banged it in the whip. Got a good feel for it. It fit right in. Which for me is HOW I JUDGE WHETHER OR NOT I can get with music. The tape was made by the boy wonder DJBran. Crisp and seamless blends which I LOVE. I can't stand a 'dj' that can't blend. No USE FOR 'EM. You are just playing records to me if you are making mixtapes and you can't do that. Everything is of good quality and you can see the progression of everyone involved in this project. Which is important to me. Growth. You should always grow. OT is doing that.
My favorite track on this whole joint is 'STAND UP MAN ft. Shizz Nitty. Period. That 'reflective' ish is my lane and Shizz does it well! There is also a couple of area classic records on here that will give you a lil backdrop as how the OT has been putting it down. These are records that you will hear in EVERY club in this area with the patrons reciting the lyrics word for word. Witty word play, some thuggin, and some common sense is the order of the day as far as lyrics go. They are not preaching to you but they are not on their Charles Manson either. The tape's content supplies a good mix of joints on it. Nobody dies every record but Chuck50, Shawn Bone and the crew make sure they get their point across which I don't have any issue with. At all. That's life. Hence the reason why I like 'Stand Up Man' so much. So is partying which the OT crew seems to have down really well (I know. I have partied with 'em and that is how it goes down. Ya dig?) and the party joints show that. Something here for everyone I believe on this tape. I dare you to not listen to this tape without repeating SOMETHING FROM IT. Whether it be "Man down...Code 10....." or "I'mma stand up man....". They make some bangers for sure.
This is a must have mixtape and should be available REAL soon HERE: Meanwhile, feel free to check out the rest of their offerings at that link. You will find out quick that they have been putting it down for a minute.

In the meantime and between time though....Here is some footage from the release party for The Monroe Monster. Check the boy Chuck50 speaking in his new shit. Reality Rap. Coming soon. Another MAJOR player in the game is in this video too just to show you it is not a game.
One more MINOR/MAJOR detail. The boy Sap has a MAJOR MAJOR partner that I keep not mentioning. My bad Jahlil of Jahlil Beats. I know you are a MAJOR part of what is going on and that you and Sap are blood. Apologies on that my man.

Normally, I hear someone/see a link, throw it up and that is it. I have been waiting to hear more from this artist though so I had to sit on this one minute. I have been riding out to it for the past couple of weeks now. Real nice. She covered a lot of ground and is everything I expected her to be. Who does she sound like? See for yourself.
Shout out to DJ Lisa Monet too. She did the thing on this joint.
Download her free mixtape HERE:
Tracklisting and back cover:
You may have heard of her with Drake and Saukrates if you are a fan of those two artists so she may not be new to you.
I think she has is NEXT. Like the next big thing to come on the scene R&B wise. I am looking forward to more from her. At least I am hoping so. We will see though.

Shizz Nitty- Rep Your Set, Why DE is in Hip Hop more than you think...
I know if you live in a big area like NYC, Det, Miami, LA, the Chi, or hell even Philly, you may not know that hip hop even EXISTS IN DELAWARE. You are wrong. Dead wrong. This will be where I will start to expose it some but TRUST ME, some of the names in hip hop you hear hollar'd on records are of people RIGHT FROM HERE. One of the most POPULAR HIP HOP WEBSITES OUT that you visit? That was started FROM THE GROUND UP by people from here. Hip Hop is alive and well here. Some of those writers you see covering events like the Hip Hop Summit on MTV? They are FROM RIGHT IN DELAWARE. (If you are my Facebook friend or if you knew me from school YOU KNOW THIS ALREADY THOUGH, don't you? It has started to make more SENSE hasn't it? @ my knowledge and love of music huh?) So before you 'dismiss it' you need to know that. Please understand that. The back story to this is SO INTERESTING that I don't even know if I wanna even reveal it here. One day, that story will be told by all of those cats involved. It was due to these people that someone like the aforementioned artists like a Shizz Nitty has the 'nerve' to think he could make a record, get it on the radio and get his career jumping like he has. If they can do it, why not him?
Why do I sound a lil 'agitated'? 'Cause I just don't see a lot of you commenting on it or skipping over it like this ni...dude is not real or like I am only putting him here for some other reasons. Not the case man. I know PLENTY OF ARTISTS from here and other places. They might never make it on THESE PAGES until they give me a good reason to with THEIR TALENT. You saw the post on Jadin. He is not known. But he has TALENT. The boy boys from the DMV...You saw that post on them? Talented. Or like the artists that I feature in my media players below that provide the sound drop for this blog. Talented but relatively unknown except maybe in their area. I am a lot like some of you. I like to hear new people and watch their talent blossom. This kid is just like those people that I mentioned up top. Severely underrated and deserving of some shine. So he is getting it. Unlike you THOUGH, I am not mad at those that have made it on a mainstream level. I don't have to do this at their expense.
Back to the regularly scheduled program though. Sorry for the rant. Lets look at some of this footage though...Behind the scenes of the 'Rep Your Set' vid by the boy Shizz Nitty.
This is footage from the Drake/Young Jeezy concert I went to from....
....High DEPinition. He is behind the camera..Just recently been made aware of him..Don't worry, I will am in talks now to sit down with the man so you can see the man behind some of this visual footage you are seeing and get some things in HIS WORDS. Post on him solely coming soon....With more things that he has shot.
Shout out to Gimel (Young Guru) on a bigger level. @ the aforementioned 'hollar'd on records'..Lets take a peek at the man behind boards. All you young engineers/producers/those in the game PAY ATTENTION TO THIS VIDEO PLEASE. He is spitting real knowledge in this video. Some of you need to reach out to him 'cause he is the type of person who would help you in a heartbeat if you are about helping yourself.

I'mma keep saying it UNTIL you get it..Social Networks + Work= NO
I know that some jobs 'require' you to do so. Whatever. You better do a better job of keeping your mouth shut or your business outside of work to yourself then. @ them finding out. I wish I would. Hell, my FACEBOOK is not even under my name and it is private. It is that way for a reason. I feel invaded by the few people that I really didn't want to be facebook friends with in the first place being there. The hell am I gonna invite 'my boss' and coworkers there for or accept their requests? Come on people common sense.
I say the 'boss' in this situation deserves to get canned as well but I don't know what company this is or its infrastructure. The boss might REALLY BE THE BOSS IN THIS CASE so I dunno. I do know this. She is a FOOL FOR FORGETTING SHE ADDED HER BOSS AND FOR EVEN ADDING HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Stop adding your boss and coworkers on FACEBOOK. Shit. How hard is that NOT TO DO? Here is an example of why you should not.
I see now that this is gonna be a quarterly post.....
Excerpt from an article:
The worker, known only as "Lindsay", updated her Facebook status with "OMG [oh my God] I HATE MY JOB!!"
She went on: "My boss is a total pervy w****r, always making me do s**t stuff just to p**s me off!! W****r!"
Her boss "Brian" responded a few hours later just before 11pm, opening with: "Hi Lindsay, I guess you forgot about adding me on here?"
He went on: "Firstly, don't flatter yourself. Secondly, you've worked here 5 months and didn't work out that I'm gay? Thirdly, that 's**t stuff' is called your 'job', you know, what I pay you to do. But the fact that you seem to be able to f**k up the simplest of tasks might contribute to how you feel about it.
"And lastly, you also seem to have forgotten that you have 2 weeks left on your 6 month trial period. Don't bother coming in tomorrow.
"I'll pop your P45 in the post and you can come in whenever you like to pick up any stuff you've left here. And yes, I'm serious."
Screen shots of the exchange, which appears to be genuine, were posted on social content websites "Digg" and "lamebook", whose users highlight amusing finds from Facebook.
Rest of the article HERE:
Stop doing it to yourself on Facebook people. Myspace too. Matter of fact, that goes for ANY SOCIAL SITE. Period. If they ask you if you have one, lie or something. There is no excuse to be caught out there like this lady was. None.

Twitter 2 X Chromosome of the Week: Green Eyed Mami
This is not to be confused with the Twitter Person of the Week. I am trying to keep it 'classy' aight? Everyone refers to the females in a 'negative' light with the little nicknames and stuff so I thought I would name the title something a little more 'friendly'. Lets see how long this one lasts.
I will try to update the pics as I get more of each person. Some old....some new...It may take awhile though. Please bear with me.
The 2x chromosome of the Week is none other than my girl GreenEyedMami or GEM as she is also known as.
More pics of her and all about her HERE:
Originally from Minneapolis, MN, Green Eyed Mammi was raised between Long Island, NY and Minneapolis, MN. from a German mother and Black and Puerto Rican father, this young lady is very diverse. Not only does she come from two different cultures but she also grew up in two different environments. It shows in her diverse thoughts and approaches to life. Part city slicker/part Midwestern laid back gal. All GEM. Definitely a person that is fun to follow on Twitter. You will see her and I go back and forth on various topics.
As you can certainly see, she is rightfully named. Funny young lady. Very engaging. Follow her on Twitter. Get to my girl from NY by way of Minny...

Our country and its gun laws: 'Open Carry'...
So as you probably have read by now, a protester showed up with an assault rifle to one of the President's town hall meetings. It happened in New Hampshire last week as well as this week in Phoenix....
Now there are laws on the books that require 'no permit' for you to do such things in many states. BUT these same states require you to have a permit to conceal said weapon. Interesting. I mean, I think I understand the spirit in allowing 'open carry' but it is the 'lack of a permit' that kinda disturbs me a tad. I admittedly don't know TOO much about the subject but I did find a place that lets you know a lot about what can and can't be done HERE: TRUST ME, I am over here learning stuff by the minute.
Now said person did no harm to the President and did not pose a threat in either case. It is still very interesting though.
Here's a map of where you can carry and how you can carry.
If you go HERE, you can actually click on that map and see what each state's laws in depth (to the best of the site's ability) and find out even more.
Even if you DON'T AGREE with the site or its intent, you MIGHT WANT TO FIND OUT what is going in your neck of the woods. You might even find out you have some rights that you did not know about yourself.

Chevy Volt. Too little too late??? Yes or No??
This is good news to me even though I usually don't buy Chevy's products. I am just wondering if for the consumers, is it too late? Will the consumers continue to buy into the fact that 'we' can't make a quality car that is good for the Earth? You know how are journalists in this country do. It is as if they CAN'T WAIT to bash anything American made. This is a great start though.
Would you buy this car? Just curious. At this point, a car like this would do me no good do to the sheer volume of people I have to move but when the time is right, I would buy something like this just to drive around town in and the like. Below are some of the specs on the vehicle and the pros. Click the link to get the full article.
Excerpt from an article located HERE:
The Volt uses electricity to move the wheels at all times and speeds. For trips up to 40 miles, the Volt is powered only by electricity stored in its 16-kWh, lithium-ion battery. When the battery’s energy is depleted, a gasoline/E85-powered engine generator seamlessly provides electricity to power the Volt’s electric drive unit while simultaneously sustaining the charge of the battery. This mode of operation extends the range of the Volt for several hundred additional miles, until the vehicle’s battery can be charged. Unlike a conventional battery-electric vehicle, the Volt eliminates “range anxiety,” giving the confidence and peace of mind that the driver will not be stranded by a depleted battery.
* Driver-configurable, liquid crystal instrument display
* Standard seven-inch touch screen vehicle information display
* Touch screen-style climate and infotainment controls
* Optional navigation system with onboard hard drive for maps and music storage
* Standard Bluetooth for cellular phone and USB/Bluetooth for music streaming
The Chevrolet Volt is leading a new era of electrification of the automobile by creating a new class of vehicle known as the Extended-Range Electric Vehicle, or E-REV.

The Chevrolet Volt can be plugged either into a standard household 120v outlet or use 240v for charging. The vehicle’s intelligent charging technology enables the Volt’s battery to be charged in less than three hours on a 240v outlet or about eight hours on a 120v outlet. Charge times are reduced if the battery has not been fully depleted. At a cost of about 80 cents per day (10 cents per kWh) for a full charge that will deliver up to 40 miles of electric driving, GM estimates that the Volt will be less expensive to recharge than purchasing a cup of your favorite coffee. Charging the Volt about once daily will consume less electric energy annually than the average home’s refrigerator and freezer units.

2010 Taurus SHO
I am sure you have seen the commercials by now...Kudos to Ford for FINALLY bringing back the name. The car should have never been discontinued and it should have never gotten that V8 in the first place. The price is a little higher than before but it is back...Twin Turbo V-6 with an estimated 365 hp. Pretty car. It is in the price range of my current dream car the Charger but I am partial to this one 'cause I had one before (See previous posts on cars on that)
I am, however, a lil worried that even though this version has more 'muscle'the 'spirit' of the car may not be carried over. Especially now with every high performance sedan touting 270 plus in the horsepower department as standard fare. Back when the SHO was first introduced, it was a totally different ballgame. You may have seen a high end sedan with 200 or so horsepower and had to REALLY spend to get one in upwards of 225 and up. So the 'bang for the buck' theory of the Taurus made it SPECIAL. We are talking BMW territory or Mercedes in terms of performance for a fraction of the cost. A car that any Mustang/Camaro owner would look over and better respect or get its doors blown off. Forget any 'sedan' not named an M5 or a 500 SEC AMG or the like dealing with it. Wasn't happening. So in that respect, the playing field for 'sleeper' fast sedans has broadened out to include a host of cars. Below, you will see the SHO go head to head with one of them by Infinity. The car may not standout like it once did.

I don't care if her hair is KERMIT THE FROG green. She is still FOINE!!! Just FOINE!!
Besides, it is a 'soft blonde'. It isn't like she went Madonna on us and went 'peroxide' blonde....
I am good with it. Plus I can see she is getting her 'grown woman' spurt on. Make up looking right and all of that jazz.
I didn't think I would love it..I do though. She looks great..

"Obviously the system broke down," former Harris County Detention Major Mark Kellar said. "The procedures didn't work as they were designed to work."
Houston police said George Vera, 25, was arrested Aug. 2 and taken to the city jail. He spent a day there before being transferred to the Harris County Jail. After being there for 14 hours, going through intake procedures, he was taken to the showers, the final step before going to his cell. There, Vera told police he had a 9mm handgun on him, along with 2 clips.

I can tell by the look in your eyes.
Don’t be mad at me for keeping secrets.
I didn’t even know what to expect.
Today’s a day like none before.
What happens now?
Who knows for sure?
My good friend TracyReneeJones...
A fellow Cappy, she is VERY EXPRESSIVE and pushes the envelope on all things. Can absolutely throw down on the written word thing and is a great Tweeter. Hit the link up or look for her on the blog roll (if it ever lets me put it up) to find out more about her.
You will not be disappointed. You can find her here on Twitter and here on her blog spot...
A oh so brief sample from here:
Surprise, Surprise
I can tell I caught you off guard.
Ha!

(Poetry/The Warehouse) The realites of love...
Again, I don't write in a style. I just write. What I feel.
The reality of love is
that love isn't perfect.
There is not magical set time. You don't get to script it. It just takes you.
It is not timed
Never that. It does its own thing.
It surprises you
Happens when you have given up.
Goes at its own pace
and its unexpected, wild and crazy
Dictates things that you wouldn't do.
Have you chasing things that you would not dream of following.
Change your morals, your pride, your soul to have it.
Stretch your wits end trying to get it and stretch the depths of your soul to keep it.
Make you put down your Kameelah's ass list and chop that shit down to a simple word.
Strikes in places and during times that you would think 'This can't be happening'.
And when it pleases and OH how it pleases you can't escape it.
It will take you and breaks you only to bring you up again.
It can soothe you, burn you and heal you all in one fell swoop.
It can be given in many different ways with no definition.
It is passion. It is words. It is action. Smoldering like embers on a campfire.
There is no 'one way to give it'.
No one set of circumstances that it can be given in.
That's our issue now.
Trying to box it in
Tell people how they can give it
when they can give it
and if and when they can give it
No. Love knows no boundaries like that.
Does it cure all?
Hell no.
But it when given right, it can help you get started on curing yourself.
I know some people that are capable of giving love like that.
I can only hope that you do too.
