I think we all know what Bruce Pearl did. Not gonna go into that. We also know how Mike Hamilton chose to handle it initially. Look, they have every right to hire and fire who they want. Don't play games though. What was the point of even answering/saying Pearl wouldn't be back NOW? What did that accomplish? I am probably gonna get heat for this (What else is new?) but I thought Pearl did a good job answering when asked about it....

I guess my thing was that I thought Jalen's comments were made in HINDSIGHT. Not as in, he FEELS THAT WAY NOW. I can't speak for Jalen though. That is just how I took 'em. Clearly, others did not take this that way....Still can't wait to see the Fab Five 30 for 30 though....
By the way, I never felt that Carmen or Stan, who both played for Coach K were Uncle Toms so yeah....I mean I 'get it' but yeah. Corey Maggette CERTAINLY doesn't give off that air. Again, I think I know what Jalen meant but yeah....AND I TOOK IT AS HE WAS SPEAKING OF HIS PAST THOUGHTS. Seen him talk to glowingly about Grant Hill and Jay Williams to think otherwise. I could be wrong. Or perhaps I just don't like making those type of leaps. I know CHRIS WEBBER follows the blog's Twitter. I would love to know what he thinks of this....

So when you were in school (if you went), you KNEW YOUR PARENTS EVERY MOVE? Even though you weren't HOME at the time? (Remember, Cam went and played elsewhere after transferring from Florida..) I mean this isn't an 'opinion' based situation. You have to PROVE that Cam knew that his Dad was doing it. That would be via taped conversations, texts, emails etc, etc, etc....If you can do it, you have to do what the NCAA did here...

When a school discovers an NCAA rules violation has occurred, it must declare the student-athlete ineligible and may request the student-athlete’s eligibility be reinstated. Reinstatement decisions are made by the NCAA national office staff and can include conditions such as withholding from competition and repayment of extra benefits. Newton was reinstated without any conditions.
According to facts of the case agreed upon by Auburn University and the NCAA enforcement staff, the student-athlete’s father and an owner of a scouting service worked together to actively market the student-athlete as a part of a pay-for-play scenario in return for Newton’s commitment to attend college and play football. NCAA rules (Bylaw 12.3.3) do not allow individuals or entities to represent a prospective student-athlete for compensation to a school for an athletic scholarship.

Auburn University football student-athlete Cam Newton is immediately eligible to compete, according to a decision today by the NCAA student-athlete reinstatement staff.
