(Grown Folk's Talk) Perfect Person Part 2...The My Way Or The Highway...thing..

I guess I could let the sign speak for the post and leave it at that. Naw. You know I'm not going to do that.


In case you missed Part 1. It is probably a little longer than this one 'cause I covered a lot of things.

This is EXACTLY what my issue is with the 'perfect person' who insists on having things done 'their way' at all times lest it not be 'right'. There is no leeway. No bending. No giving. No room for growth from that person in regards to the matter at hand either because they won't deviate from their way of doing things. Again, as I stated in the piece, it is COOL if their way works. No issues there. The problem arises is when someone has a BETTER way to do that said thing and it cannot flourish due to the immature and stubborn nature of the 'perfect person'. Or my other favorite scenario, they hear it from one of the few people that they 'deem worthy enough to present ideas to them' and everyone else is a minion in their presence. -_- 

So yeah, when I saw the lil saying at the beginning of the post, I smiled a bit 'cause it succinctly nailed the point home. Example? Okay cool..


I'm going take 'cleaning the bathroom' as an example. If you are the person who has to 'hear someone's mouth' about how it 'should be done' then you will KNOW why I picked it. 

I think most of us have seen something like this right?

It CLEARLY states that you can use it ANYWHERE, with certain restrictions of course right? 


Raise your hand if you know someone that uses this ONLY IN SPECIFIC AREAS? *Puts both hands in the air* 

Raise your hand(s) again if you know someone that would SPAZZ OUT if they saw you using this, in say....THE BATHROOM as opposed to the 'designated' area that they would use this in? *raises both hands again* 

Now in FAIRNESS to the person who is a stickler for using certain products in certain places, AS LONG AS ALL PRODUCTS ARE AVAILABLE, I DON'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE DEMAND. 

It is when certain products aren't 'present' and folks are still snapping, as if you aren't using A PRODUCT THAT IS DESIGNATED TO CLEAN MULTIPLE SURFACE AREAS in a fashion that EVEN THE 'SPECIAL CLEANER THE PERFECT PERSON WANTS TO USE' WAS DESIGNED TO DO IT IN. That's WHERE my issue lies. I think it is silly. So using multi-purpose cleaner in the tube is a WORSE ALTERNATIVE than say.....NOT CLEANING THE TUB? 'Cause judging the reaction to one using a 'cleaner' that doesn't say bathroom on it, that seems to be what is being suggested. Oh...  okay... No!!! That's pretty fucking dumb. 


There are other examples of course. 

That's what is like though when THAT HAPPENS. As I am sure some of you can attest to who have experienced THAT EXACT SCENARIO. Now imagine someone being like that about EVERYTHING. Insistent on their way to the point of inconvenience. Insistent on everyone waiting for them to 'get home' so that they can finesse a dinner that THEY AREN'T EVEN GOING TO EAT so that they can feel like they had a hand in it/made sure it went smoothly. Or insisting that certain folks not be asked to lend their expertise because of THEY DON'T DISLIKE THEM even though they DISLIKE WASTING MONEY/TIME/EFFORT even more than the person... Yeah..the list goes on and on...


Yeah..... Not fun. For anyone actually. 'Cause I imagine that if one acted like that all the time, they wouldn't be very happy. No way to live IMO. I digress though...

...If You Didn't Know How Old You Are....I will let the quote sink in for you. Then you can read the rest...Oh and for you 'cats that claim you know sports and you don't know who Satchel Paige is..'....no more arguing sports for you in my presence. Ever. In Life. He's an old head and without THAT OLD HEAD, NOT NARY ONE OF YOUR HEROES AND SHEROES on the TV would be here. (Along with many other 'old heads'.I'm going to try not to make it seem like I don't like the youth. I DO. I am raising some myself. I love the youth. I hate stupid older people too. I've written about them here as well. That's not what we are talking about here today though. (Somehow, you dense ass niggas will miss that and take it personally though...I know how you do..)





Ah.....being the 'old head'. You know, because I was never some 'bird chested lil ninja' after say age 14, I have been the 'old head' for most of my life in most settings believe it or not. Sounds weird doesn't it? A 16 year old being called 'old head' because he of his maturity? (Or lack of uncouth behavior in certain situations) Probably not to some of you 'cause well....you were doing the name calling to folks. To the 'rest of the World' though, it is pretty strange. It was always strange to me. As I grew up though, I found out why folks would say that.

You see, folks are incredibly insufficient when it comes to judging folks ages/maturity levels and equally as narrow-minded when it comes to how they think folks 'their age' should act. As a result, I have often been labeled 'the old head' in many situations. Mainly on the basketball court, that usually stops after I bust one of those 'young boys' up a bit or a well placed pick or four or crossed a nigga over twice, but also in many settings. Make no mistake, the term, while sometimes used endearingly, is meant to be 'disrespectful' more than it was used to be 'respectful'. I never took it 'to heart' 'cause I LEARNED TO BE SECURE WITH WHO I AM but understand that I knew that folks were trying to basically trying to diss but showing me 'respect' at the same time: 


Translation: They would acknowledge the obvious (I am not a small dude...) but still 'try me' to see if I was a punk. 

Which is pretty standard in theory @ trying to see if I was a punk. The interesting thing about that though is the half 'respect' thing. It was if their brain was telling them: 


"I know what we've been 'told' about his type but I dunno...Let me see if I can still 'carry it how I'm supposed to' without drawing his ire...Maybe he won't know I 'really dissed him'? Yeah...he isn't from 'where I am' and he 'doesn't' get it anyway...Besides, I'm from (insert place)...No way he can......I think..." 




In other words, the SAME WAY WHITE FOLKS USED TO TREAT US, some of us try to do that to each other. Shit is sad as fuck too. Like I'm not gonna see/recognize/or respond to it in SOME FORM. Nigga please. 'Cause I am 'older'? C'mon fam.****





Which I find to be QUITE AN ENTERTAINING VIEW. For those of you who don't follow why I would find that 'entertaining', let me break it down for you. 

Here you have someone (or a certain sect of folks) thinking that 'old head' means 'out of the loop' and 'can't hang' when that SAME OLD HEAD has been through ALL OF THE SHIT ONE CAN GO THROUGH AND BACK AGAIN FOUR TIMES OVER. I mean lets be clear, you can give WHATEVER IT IS the youth are 'going through'* a new name but it is the same thing for most of us. Now maybe for some of YOU who are my age, these things 'didn't exist', but they did where I was at and last I checked, I didn't live on a remote island in the fucking South Pacific. 

Niggas were getting beat up. Robbed. Shot. 

Manhood tested on the daily. Actually MORESO BY THE WHITE PEOPLE THAN IT IS NOW. At least now, you CAN GET ON THE INTERNET AND SPEAK ON IT. Have 'web rallies' and shit. Couldn't do that back then. Once Jeb and 'em got a hold of you, you were ASS OUT.

If a 'old head'survived ALL OF THESE THINGS this long, he just MIGHT know a little more than you. Alas, this isn't how the mind of the young nigger (yes I said it..look up the REAL DEFINITION. Not the 'made up one' or the 'urban' one...THE REAL ONE.) works.



Not a chance in hell. @ most of the youth thinking like that. I get part of it too. There are some of us 'older' folks that are REALLY SHITTY ACTING TOWARDS THE YOUTH. I will readily admit that. That's not all of us though. Just like it isn't 'all the youth' that is dismissive about 'older' folks. You have to learn to take people on a case by case basis. 

Regardless as to whether you are the 'old head' or the 'young wavy nigga'. If you come out with an attitude though, you are liable to get treated in kind. You are gonna get static and cause ALL TYPES OF UNNECESSARY ISSUES. You never KNOW WHO YOU ARE TALKING TO. Especially on the Net. You might be talking to a 'killer' on the other end. You might be talking someone who doesn't 'kill' but can 'kill' your dreams and ruin your life so to speak. All while smiling in your face or letting you think you 'silenced' them with your tough talk. You also don't know WHAT FOLKS HAVE BEEN THROUGH IN THEIR LIFE. IT IS USUALLY A SAFE BET TO ASSUME THAT IF SOMEONE HAS MADE IT FARTHER IN LIFE THAN YOU AND MOST OF YOUR PEERS, THEY MIGHT NOT BE THE ONE TO FUCK WITH. You NEVER KNOW what position a person plays in this thing called Life.

Hopefully, some of you younger cats learn this before you end up on a T-Shirt over some silly little 'beef' about bullshit. It is all 'fun and games' rhyming about the shit until it is your man laying in the ground. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I see the pain in ya'lls eyes when you think about 'What could have been...' and I want to feel bad and HELP YOU. Can't do that though if you are gonna look at this 'old head' like the 'enemy' though and I don't owe you shit to have to risk my life to try to help you. No amount of gooning, thinly veiled threats or any of that can change that fam. Take some of that aggression elsewhere and leave me out of it. 

I re-learned a lesson yesterday on this very subject and re-affirmed why I don't 'reach out' to help a lot of you. You think you know everything. You think that 'your champagne life', your Louis buckets, your bags of 'loud' and that 'stack a week' you get is ALL LIFE HAS TO OFFER. Some of you seem to be under the misguided illusion that just 'cause folks aren't out here 'offering' information on their financials via chains, rims, cars and going to 'every party' that somehow, folks are broke. I mean if being a 'target' is your twist, do you my nig. No sympathy here when you end up in a cell or on a T-shirt promoting that dumb ass 'challenge the World even when it isn't called for' shit. Keep being 'Super Nigga' or the "Street Heavyweight Champ of Your section of The World". Folks are good out here. Trust me. Don't need you or want to be like you. The goal is to 'live' and while living in 'fear' isn't, living like an ass isn't what's up either. Which is what some of you are out here doing. 

So yeah, call folks 'old heads' or just 'old' in general. Compare folks ALL DAY LONG to your 'parents' or whatever. It isn't a diss to the majority of them. Same way you 'sit back and laugh' at them is the same way they do you as you fall into ALL THE PITFALLS LIFE HAS TO OFFER. Nobody is out here 'hating on you' either plair. Do what you do. Fuck your liver up. Keep having babies, not paying child support and end up in the paper looking dumb. Keep trying to 'impress niggas who don't give ONE FUCK ABOUT YOU' so that your 'name will ring bells'. Keep it up. Hopefully, if you get your shit together, you MAY MAKE IT TO BE THOSE 'OLD HEADS' AGE. You will see just how much of 'life' you were really missing when you do. Just don't look around when shit comes crashing down looking for a 'old head's advice' and expect them to give you 'sunshine'. They are liable to spit the hard truth to you and ruin that your fantasy idea you have going on in your head. You know the one where you take the best of all the 'gangstas' you know and live 'Happily ever after' after you have done EVERY SINGLE DIRTY THING THERE IS TO DO IN THE WORLD TWICE OVER? Yeah that one. Shits fantasy B. Hate to break it to you. Those same niggas that are helping you 'clown the next man'? They will be the same ones to show that asshole side to YOU if they get a chance to do you in. It's proven. Ah but fuck it, what does an 'old head' know? He/she has only lived through the shit. Carry on young niggas...Carry on.

So what do folks who are 'jealous' of the things that aren't happening to them. They turn to what I like to call the 'Holy Grail of Ignorant Folks Scriptures'. Usually the author of said saying either died of the VERY THING HE PRESCRIBED BY (Gone too soon though...according to some).

Folks that act like sites like these are 'ruining' their rep need to look in the mirror to some extent if THEY ARE OUT HERE PUTTING 400 OR SO PICTURES OF THEMSELVES ON THE SAME INTERNET. From that LiveJournal shit to the 'new' LiveJournal as I call it called Tumblr. No one is hacking into your computer. No one is stealing your laptop.You are out here putting ALL OF THESE PICTURES of yourself out here on your own sites and they float from there. 

I shouldn't say folks because quite honestly, as much as I don't like doing this, it is the females. Yes, I said it. I am talking to ya'll on this one. Well, the ones that do what I am about to describe. I am talking to you for two reasons..

A. I don't post pictures up of dudes in that manner so I wouldn't be coming from that angle...

B. I have NEVER heard a dude complain about his picture being put up anywhere on the Net unless it was done in a ridiculing fashion. NEVER. If a dude takes a picture of himself in a flattering fashion and females wanna gawk, he is ELATED AND TELLS EVERYONE. He took the pictures for that response much like a female only HE OWNS UP TO THAT. If that response isn't what he wants, he disses those that diss him, tells 'em 'You liked it 'cause you 'featured me' and leaves it at that.  That I have seen happen.

The ladies? Eh...Not so much. For some reason, beyond the fact that it isn't a crime to get a camera and take all the flicks you want of yourself and do as you please, the ladies seem to 'forget' the 'other side of the coin' with this one. No, I am NOT TALKING ABOUT THE LADIES THAT TAKE PICTURES FOR THEIR MAN AT THE TIME AND HE LEAKS 'EM. Or even for some 'random' cat and he leaks them. That is a WHOLE OTHER DISCUSSION AND IS NOT TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY. I am talking about the girls that LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES and use sites like the now deserted MySpace or Tumblr (Instagram!) to do it. Or put up their 'TwitPics' for the World to see but want to get 'upset' when someone puts it on their domain. Even/especially when the folks who put it up on their sites GIVE THEM CREDIT, direct traffic towards them and are HELPING their cause. I'm not talking slander here. I am talking good old fashion 'Look at her doing thing.." promotion. It is baffling to me. 

Again, it isn't taking the pictures that bothers me. BELIEVE ME. We ALL TAKE PICTURES. It isn't even them having a page. Have at it. It is YOUR PAGE. It is the fact that folks think that the 'minute' a picture leaves THEIR PAGE that anymore 'damage' is being done to them than they have already caused themselves. Please. You caused the initial damage. Just because your 'followers' are 'yucking it up with you' and saying they like it doesn't mean they aren't out there using it for evil. @ the image.TRUST ME. I've had MANY OF YOUR 'FOLLOWERS' give me shit that I KNOW you didn't intend for 'public consumption' AFTER THEY HAVE GOTTEN TO KNOW YOU BY COMPLIMENTING YOU ON THE PICTURES YOU DO HAVE FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION. Folks come to Tumblr/blog ALL THE TIME that don't 'follow me' or don't live ANYWHERE NEAR ME. Some folks come to my Tumblr who DO FOLLOW ME AND DON'T KNOW IT IS MINE! I mean I know TONS OF FOLKS BUT NOT AS MANY THAT COME TO MY BLOG OR TUMBLR. All 'cause the typed in the name associated (that I associated with it on PURPOSE). People can get at you via 5th person.  I get the funny feeling that some of you still think that you can actually 'hide' on TUMBLR, do your little freak shit with YOUR FACE IN THE PICTURES and no one will know the wiser. Smarten up Nas.

I am not coming down on your for taking the pictures themselves though. You think you are the only 'thrill seeker' in the World? You think you are the only one with 'self esteem issues' who needs a boost? With a stash of photos that will put that Amber Rose shit to shame OR WITH A STASH OF REGULAR PICTURES THAT COULD FILL A WHOLE YEAR'S WORTH OF MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS? Nope. In particular when they attach YOUR NAME TO THE POST AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU KNOW THAT THEY PUT YOUR PICTURES UP? I mean, maybe your initial reaction to someone 'taking your pictures' (Yet they made sure you would see that the pictures were up on their site AND they put your name to it.) is to start taking heads off. Okay cool. I would hope though, for as much as many of you claim you aren't just 'ass and titties' that you could SEE THAT YOU ARE PRETTY MUCH DOING JUST AS MUCH DAMAGE TO YOUR REPUTATION YOURSELF by even creating your own little site. That is if you see being put on 'any other website other than your own' as 'damage'. If you don't see it as damage then..to put it bluntly....

Sure you can take pictures of yourself ALL YOU WANT. You need to understand though that once you click that 'send' button on your lil Macbook or whatever you are out here sending that on, you are running the risk of someone is gonna see it. Period. It doesn't make it ANY BETTER IF THEY SEE IT ON YOUR SITE or somewhere like here so quit trying to justify 'where they may see it'.

Probably even more so because of the mixed message. I think you should be able to understand that doing things in this fashion is 'mismanagement' of their 'voice' no? If you can't understand that, oh well. Just like dudes have the right to do WHATEVER THEY WANT but they have to deal with the consequences you ladies do too. Sorry. This isn't street hollering or getting grabbed in the club. Looking and touching are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. Especially in this case when the person 'offended' PUT THE MATERIAL UP TO BE SEEN.

Period. You aren't special to the point that you are exempt from it and if you think that you are then you MIGHT NOT WANT TO POST THE PICTURES. Period.

Yes there are woman ALL OVER THIS BLOG. All over it. Will be today. Will be tomorrow. The difference though? The ones that 'remain' on here ( I pull all the ones who fit the bill I just described in this post off ASAP..) is that they have 'decided' that's how they get down. They have embraced it. They are OF LEGAL AGE. Their spouse/SO knows of what they do and either likes it or doesn't or they are single and have no one to answer to. More importantly though, they know HOW TO HANDLE THE ATTENTION. They don't put up with 'negative' attention either. Nope. They handle that just fine too. They have decided what to they want to do and are doing it to the fullest. 

Some ARE NOT in it for that big check. 

Some take the ego boost, go on with their REGULAR LIVES and keep it moving. Its called being a grown woman. 

Some are actually in that last age bracket I posted up too so if anyone in that bracket (legal- 23ish) thinks I mean to say you can't handle your business you are WRONG. I merely spoke on those in that age bracket who can't. 

The ladies on the blog KNOW THEY ARE HERE. This shit isn't some 'secret' 'cause everything about here is out in the open. From the contact info for them to the contact info for me. I won't get 'talkative' 'cause merely because you asked me to pull your pictures from the blog if you do so. 

I will get 'talkative' if EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO ON YOUR OWN SITES screams the total opposite of what you 'claim you are trying to do' and you basically accuse me (or truthfully anyone else who runs anything like this in a nice way) of trying to do you harm by putting pictures up that you have already put up yourself.  

As I alluded to up top, I can't do any more harm to you than you are doing to yourself when you post those pictures initially. In addition, JUST HOW DO YOU THINK FOLKS ARE GOING TO GET TO YOUR SITE? Telepathy? I mean if you TELL THE EXISTING FANS YOU HAVE ABOUT YOUR 'SITE' THAT IS ALL FINE AND DANDY BUT IT ALSO WON'T DO BUT SO MUCH GOOD. So ANY PRESS from a source outside of you would DRIVE MORE TRAFFIC TO YOU. They would then put your name in Google. If you have a site, BOOM, it comes up. Then they go to it. Trust me, JUST BECAUSE someone comes to your SITE doesn't mean they stop looking for information on you. I know. I run one. Folks come here looking for folks and their exit link is usually one that indicates that their search on the person, subject, whatever isn't done. 


Example: If I put up say 5 candids of Yaris Nya Santana, the person looks at what I have put up...searches MY SITE FOR MORE FLICKS and then exits out out of the site BACK TO GOOGLE by typing in 'Candid pictures of Yaris Nya Santana' or some shit like that. See how that works? Clearly some of you don't know how this works 'cause THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT. Folks searching for your name. Hell that is how 75% of the folks reach MY SITE. Name searches. 


In other words sweetheart, I'm here to help. Not hurt. Do I get something out of it? Yep. The flip to that is site's like mine are at NO COST TO YOU minus the 'content'. Content you've already been paid for to give. Now I know you have your 'web designer' and your 'marketing team' telling you that you want 'all the information in one place'. That's not necessarily true. You could have a BEAUTIFUL site but if there is only one or two outlets that are 'putting your name out there', it may take you A LONG TIME to reach your goal, IF YOU EVEN REACH IT. How will people know about you? How will they know that you even exist? Think of it as 'free cross promotion'. 

You don't know how many times I've put a young lady up here, SEEN THE IP ADDRESSES OF THE DUDES THAT OWN THE MAGAZINES COME TO MY SITE and the next thing you know, THEY ARE FEATURED IN THE MAGAZINE. Yeah, I see ya'll. I have you marked. That digital magazine in Philly that runs a 'Dynasty'? They come here. That 'Khalifa'? They come here too. Mixed Magazine? You see the video below in the corner....(With reason right now..lol) They all have come here scouting to see who is 'hot on the Internet' right now. AS THEY SHOULD. That's how it works. I'm not mad. I know the game. I put someone else who then in turn PUTS ME ON. That's how people KEEP COMING BACK TO THE SITE. Then they may be able to see THE OTHER CONTENT. I have to get them here first though. Somehow. This is how. Your mentality should be the same if you are taking these pictures to 'gain something from it' and you need to understand that your Twitter (or now your Instagram), Tumblr or whatever NEW MEDIA OUTLET isn't the only way to do it. Hell, I don't know why half of you even HAVE A SITE 'cause the same thing ALWAYS seems to happen. You find out you are paying someone to maintain a site to put up information that you could have put up FOR FREE if you are hot enough in these streets. Then the site quietly goes away. 'Cause lets face it, most of you aren't going to be in your forums interacting with your fans or taking COMPLETELY NUDE EXCLUSIVES like that which is what it takes to keep a site LIKE THAT GOING. Little video updates and four pictures of your latest photo shoot isn't going to cover the cost of you having the site. It just isn't. Merchandise? Maybe. If you finesse it right. @ having that there. So that's where I (or sites like these) come into play. So use us. It would behoove you too.

 Lets clear up this 'stealing pictures thing':

I am not 'stealing' the pictures, as stealing would imply you get no credit, you get no notification, or that I claim them as mine and I make no way of you contacting me to have them removed. Period. That would be the definition of 'stealing them'. If I wanted to 'take them', I DAMM SURE WOULDN'T BE FEEDING THE BLOG TO TWITTER OR FACEBOOK WITH YOUR NAMES IN 'EM. I wouldn't want you to see the posts so why would I LET YOU KNOW I DID THEM? I know sites that DO STEAL PICTURES and they make sure that while they give your name, you aren't DIRECTLY CONTACTED. Hell, I know some that don't even GIVE YOUR NAME. Just have you up there as 'their nameless talent that they have discovered'. Now THAT I COULD SEE YOU BEING UPSET ABOUT. That is the DEFINITION OF STEALING AND NO CREDIT GIVEN. Watermarking up your shit with THEIR LOGO and not giving your name? Yeah..be upset about THAT SHIT. Not what I am doing over here....
