Charlamagne Tha God's Open Letter To T.I. WOW.

Just read it....You may not even like the cat (I actually do like him) but DAMMIT IF HE DIDN'T REP WITH THIS LETTER..Good work fam!

Charlamagne Tha God recently wrote a letter to incarcerated Atlanta rapper T.I. Read it below:

Peace what’s cracking Black Man? The Original Dope Boy in the Trap, Rubber band Man, King of The South. First off, respect to you and I hope this kite finds you in good spirits my brother. They got your physical locked down but your mental is free. I’m typing this and giving it to the world to see because the truth to the matter is we live in a society where we don’t give our black stars enough respect. We live in a world full of negative criticism of our people and I’m guilty of dishing out a lot of it my damn self. Recently I had to ask myself, “Am I a hater or is the quality of the products being put out by these artists just that bad? The answer is…it’s just that bad.

Because most of the products out there now-a-days are bad, people have every right to talk about just how bad it is. Some say that if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all. I don’t subscribe to that philosophy. I believe the person who created that saying probably knew what he or she was doing was some bullsh*t and they didn’t want anybody to call them on it. I do believe that we need balance. When something is great we need to show respect to that greatness, especially while the person is still alive. Give them the flowers while they are still able to smell them. T.I.P. here are your roses from me brother Pause…

Clifford Harris your necessary sir. You are in my Top Six Favorite MCs of All Time list which includes Ghostface, Nasir Jones, Rakim Allah, yourself, Scarface and a man you recently signed Killer Mike. The MCs that I love speak to me. They speak on experiences that I can relate to and put them in a way that captures the exact emotion of those experiences. Being born and raised in Moncks Corner, SC on a dirt road I can relate to your tales of being a young man growing up in the dirty south. We did things we were not proud of but we did what we had to do at the time to get by. Now we are grown and you are one of the few artists whose growth as a man reflects in their music.

A lot of people said that you snitched to get out of that situation that has you presently incarcerated but I never thought that. I guess because I’m one of the few people on this planet who still believes in a higher power. I said, “Allah (God) caused that to happen because he has a greater plan for T.I.” He allowed you the opportunity to teach. I can only imagine all of the youth whose lives you touched in a positive way by going out and speaking to them the way that you did; or how many you encouraged to choose the right path in life by simply sharing your experiences.

That is the main reason for this letter my man. This is to remind you that your job is not done and to encourage you to come out the same way you went it. A man on a mission, inspired to change the minds of the youth because they need it now more than ever. I don’t have to tell you that the rap game is bullsh*t right now, do I? Not just the rap game but the black culture in general. We have a black president in office and I thought that would have fueled more of our people to reach for a higher level of consciousness, but it seems like we took one step forward only to take 50 steps back.

The reason you’re important to all of this is because you are the closest thing to Tupac that the rap game has. A lot of people are going to sh*t on me for that statement but it’s true. You are street yet conscious, lyrically respected by MC’s and fans from all regions, you deliver a positive message without being preachy, the hood and mainstream America f*ck with you, you’re not afraid to talk about God and the ladies love you. That’s a powerful combination and a combination that made Tupac dangerous. It’s the same combination that makes you dangerous.

I know some people say, “Well, what does ladies loving him have to do with anything?” Well Willie Lynch said, “If you break the FEMALE (mother), she will BREAK the offspring in its early years of development. So I say if you UPLIFT the mother she will EMPOWER the offspring in its early years of development. There are no songs uplifting our women right now. There are actually a bunch of records downing our women. They need someone that they look admire to say to them, “You are more than whores, bitches, and sluts.” We have to embrace these young girls like they belong to us, like they are our biological daughters. The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan was quoted as saying that rappers should teach the young girls that, “Where there are no decent women, there are no decent men, for; the woman is the mother of civilization”. He went on to say, “We should teach young people to admire women and not abuse women, to respect and honor women, and not defile women”.

You T.I.P have the power to change the way people approach the microphone and you have the ability to show people Hip Hop’s true power potential. Minister Louis Farrakhan said to all rappers that, “Your potential to change reality is so great that if you learned the skill of words and how to use words; if you learned how to say what it is you want to say, but say it in a way that gains universal respect, then the rap would evolve to an art form that will never be replaced. It will evolve to be that form that will set the stage for the next phase of its evolution”.

Accept the Responsibility of leadership T.I.P. Someone has to lead this evolution of Hip Hop’s consciousness. The younger generation needs direction. You said it on “Ain’t I”, “They don’t know which way to go I’ll make it easy follow me”, so lead them T.I.P. People listen to those who are in a position they want to be in. All you have to do is look around at those who are being influenced negatively by the content they are taking in from other artist. I wish you well brother, respect.

Streetfully Yours,

Charlamagne Tha God

Another reason why I love Twitter. DJ Drama and Jeezy

Looks like we might get a Trap or Die 2 after all....AND it looks like Jeezy and Gucci may be able to put their differences aside too.

This is good news. I am not a Gucci Mane fan persay but the beef itself could stand to stop.

An open letter not written by me but one I like..Foreign Exchange

Again, I did not write this but I support this wholeheartedly. I also wanted you guys to see some of the struggles that even a 'Grammy nominated' artist has to go through. It is a shame. FuseTV isn't even that well known. I remember when Jay-Z was going to be on there I had to go through my channel log to see if I EVEN HAD THE DAMM CHANNEL. So they really need to come up off of that...You know? Read John's letter and you will see what type of time they are on. smh. Wake up FuseTV! These cats are talented. It shouldn't take your peers to have to play them for you to figure that shit out. Sorry. Are you followers or leaders? Which one?

Yes, you read right. Grammy nominated nominated FOREIGN EXCHANGE. For the album 'Leave It All Behind'. Some of the songs are featured in the media player up top if you are unfamiliar.

@Phontigallo @nicolaymusic @FEOfficial A second open letter to @FuseTV about Foreign Exchange. Dear FuseTV: This letter is a follow-up to an e-mail I sent directly to your cable network concerning the fact that your channel does not want to play the new music video by Foreign Exchange, a duo featuring producer Nicolay and MC/singer Phonte Coleman. If you do not remember my e-mail, it has been archived here for posterity.
https://twerbose.com/t18949
http://bit.ly/7pfJhJ

As your music research department knows by now, Foreign Exchange has been nominated for a Grammy Award. I go back to my initial e-mail, concerning your refusal to play their music video. The claim is that FuseTV only plays videos by "hit artists", even though there is a statement on your own website which indicates your network is about "celebrating the hit makers of today, familiar favorites and edgy newcomers." Foreign Exchange has made two albums, and one of their songs from their most recent album has been officially nominated for a Grammy award tonight:

Best Urban/Alternative Performance
(For solo, duo, group or collaborative performances, with vocals. Singles or Tracks only.)

* Daykeeper
The Foreign Exchange
Track from: Leave It All Behind
[Hard Boiled Records]

If you need further proof, here is the URL:
http://www.grammy.com/grammy_awards/52nd_show/list.aspx

Not everyone has the honor of being nominated for a Grammy, and I feel this is significant enough for your network to put their music videos in rotation. There are many fans out there, and you know what? You may help to bring the group more fans. In turn, fans who have never heard of Fuse-TV before may now know your network as the one who, through fan support, gave Foreign Exchange a chance.

You know what I'd love, though? There's a band Fuse-TV supports, a great hard rock band called Valient Thorr (@ValientThorr). They claim they are from Burlatia, somewhere on planet Venus, and I believe them, but they call the state of North Carolina home. Did you know that one half of Foreign Exchange calls North Carolina home too? Nicolay, whose last name rhymes with my own, is from the Netherlands, and I am almost certain the vikings of Valient Thorr may have some Earthly connections there as well.

I partly joke, but the real reason behind this "open letter" to you, FuseTV, is to say please, re-consider playing a video by Foreign Exchange on your network. Or I should change that: reconsider playing a video by the Grammy-nominated Foreign Exchange on your network. If Nicolay comes to the U.S. for the ceremony, get Phonte together and create a 30- to 60-minute profile show. Play music videos, interview them, have them perform live. Fans? I'm sure if you put out a call, fans will show up. Or I will send an open letter to their fans.

@FuseTV, I thank you for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon.

This IS a grown folks blog so....Yeah, proceed at your own risk. Thanks OZONE MAG! I can NOT STRESS ENOUGH that this video is NSFW/YOUR LURKING SO/or for your stuck up parent/uncle/older role model to be seeing you look at. I warned ya. Shout out to Shakur too who HAS BEEN ASKING FOR SOMETHING ALONG THESE LINES. Yes, I am working on a permanent place for such things sir..Bear with me.

(Words/Grown Folks Talk) Part 2...On: Role models/making your bed/never did it but know how..

Disclaimer: If you like to live in fantasyland, fairy tales and all of that other shit...Don't READ ANY FURTHER. We won't be doing that here. This is the raw truth. It might not be YOUR truth persay in its totality but it is the truth nonetheless.

ROLE MODELS:

I was thinking about this role model shit for some time... We need to SERIOUSLY rethink using this role model thing. It isn't working out. At all. We are picking 'human' models' and getting mad when they act...well...HUMAN. The nerve of him/her...smh Why on Earth would he dare act 'human'? Lets see. 'Cause they are HUMAN? Hmmm. Imagine that. Look, I understand the need to have people to emulate and all of that, I really do. But you should be teaching your kids to decipher the good and the bad and how to learn from both. That,"I only want my kids to know the good things about him so he needs to be good at all times for my sake" is a MAJOR COPOUT. Selfish bastards..I don't know about you, but I am thinking that if you only learn the good things how are you going to be able to cope with the bad things in life? Oh that's right, my bad. Bad things only happen to bad people and you are not a bad person. Fuck outta here with that bullshit....That is what is wrong with people now. Living in fantasy land. Ole candy ass people..

TMZ got ya'll thinking 'we have the right to know' shit. No WE DO NOT. I could see if we were INVOLVED in the situation or were gonna be able to help him. We are none of the above. Just nosy bystanders looking for the next trainwreck. We don't have a right to know anything but about whatever ability said person displays that puts them in said spotlight. He is a golfer. If you wanna go in on something, go in on that. Oh that's right, YOU CAN'T. That fool is the best golfer in the World arguably. When his golf game takes a SEVERE nose dive, talk about that.

Now I gotta hear all types of bullshit from people who quite frankly, AREN'T IN A RELATIONSHIP AT THE MOMENT, have a REALLY bad track record (and openly complain about it) all the time or are not married. It has sparked all types of stupid debates/comments/trending topics and 'status updates. Single people getting mad at married people again. Married people acting brand new like they don't know the 'codes' to the shit. Calling it idiotic yet giving advice on how they would do it at the same time. Saying what he should do. Saying what she should do. Really? I mean if it is not for you, it isn't for you. No problem. But the bashing? Really? Stop that childish shit.

"And as for the critics, tell me I don't get it
Everybody can tell you how to do it, they never did it" - Jay-Z Already Home

^^^^That pretty much sums up how I feel about alladat^^^^^^ Yes, I know not EVERYONE learns over time and all of that happy shit but I will tell you what. I am going to ask the person who has done it or is CURRENTLY doing it (who will tell it like it is) rather than some person that I 'like'. That is some of you peoples problem now. Seeking out the wrong advice 'cause of the source because the source is 'not like you'. Not young. Not 'hip'. Not in your lil 'circle'. Some cat who has NEVER DONE IT. How's that working out for you? I already know how it is working out for you. You complain about it everyday in my time lines and shit on the Net. If you think I am talking to you then I AM TALKING TO YOU TOO.

He shoulda just told her he wanted an open relationship..
Yeah, 'cause she was down for that probably and he was just an idiot for not asking. Why I oughta.....Dumb ass. No YOU woulda went for that. You are putting your ideas on 'her' again! You are not her and she is not you! First of all, SHE WOULD HAVE TO WANT THAT you idiot. If she doesn't want that then even if he asks and she says 'yes', all it will be is her placating him..You TELL ME how that is gonna end up ole super genius? I'll take not well for a thousand, Alex....
My favorite though is this one. "Men aren't shit..."
Yeah, 'cause he and all the other dudes were fucking themselves. @ those involved with other women. Miss me with the deflective shield responses to that too. "Well, it isn't the other parties relationship. It is his."/"It is the dudes that mess up..." "Men ain't shit." and the other responses that put the onus SOLELY on the dude. Talk about excuses! . If you are wrong, you are wrong. Period. Men and women. Last I checked, most of these women EVEN HAVE HAD BFS/FIANCEES/ and (gasp) husbands too that fool around with dudes. So it seems to me, we aren't the only ones with a lil trouble keeping it in our pants now are we? Some of ya'll have a REAL ISSUE with not riding on poles that don't belong to you. It is like you see the pole and JUST HAVE TO RIDE IT. But we are the ones with the 'ego' issues..Chile please- Ocho Cinco
He made his bed...He has to lay in it...

I agree actually if he stays. Of course there is a limit but I am not here to set all of that. Here is what I don't like though...Some of you people seem to think that people don't do this or that you saying it makes it 'better' somehow. THEY DO. All the time. I tell you I don't know too many men who have not 'sat there and ate every bit of criticism that they have gotten for fucking up'. Laid in their bed that they made by staying around in marriages (and relationships), taking the 'shade' that they get. Taking the 'checking of email', the COMPLETE RUNDOWNS of their daily schedule, the 'pop up visits' when they say they are going to their boys house and all of that shit. (Oh yeah, we ARE GONNA TALK ABOUT THIS SHIT TODAY. Fuck that!)Women too! They have done it just as well. That 'possessive' mate you don't like that your friend has (whom you have helped 'creep' on many an occasions but he 'don't know about all that'. Yeah her..)? There is a reason why he is like that. He knows what it is. Trust me. That intuition thing is not exclusive to ya'll. Trust me. Why do you think that your 'favorite' uncle/auntie can't make a damm move WITHOUT YOUR OTHER RELATIVE knowing their every move even though they have been together for 40 some years? Oh, you thought it was because they 'loved' them like that and they have a perfect relationship huh? You idiot! You are a fool. No, motherfucker, someone fucked up probably. Shit, probably BOTH OF 'EM truthfully. Ask around and actually listen to the context clues. Ask your 'cool' relative sometime. They might let you in on some shit. It will all make sense. Why do you think that older people just 'chuckle' when we younger people get all up in arms about this stupid shit? 'Cause this shit HAS BEEN GOING ON YA'LL. I heard someone say it is the 'year of the sidepiece'. No. We just get the info a lil sooner now. That's all. Been going on. My beef with my elders is that they didn't tell me SOONER. Coulda saved me some bullshit on all sides, including me from my own bullshit. (Oh you thought I wasn't gonna get real with it didn't you?) Yeah, thank me later...So if that man decides to rearrange that 'nup or not, who am I to say shit about it? For those of you have wondered why people 'bounce' after they get caught up, re-read what I just wrote. It should all make sense now. It gets THAT HECTIC and honestly, you can't blame folks for a lil bit if that is how they act. I won't put up the lil cliches and stuff. You know them well. @ the bonds broken and all of that.

Now before you just jump to the conclusion that I am saying the boy was right/justified/or any of that fagazzi shit, RE-READ what I typed. Not all. I just know that nothing is black and white like many of you would love it to be. There are other things to look at and I am a lil tired of seeing people using these events to spew their own lil brand of one sided hatred about things that have happened in their past with men, relationships in general or any of that stuff.

This is just one of the many tweets that sum up what I am saying...

RT @215tayyib: fact = people cheat + have sex, Politicians, Clergymen, Rabbi's, Imam's, Athletes, Celebrities and your neighbor...

I don't have to get off my soapbox 'cause I was laying down when I typed this shit...You FIGURE out what I mean when I say that. Nor do I expect you to agree with me. Do what you do dammit. Agree or not. No sweat offa my back. Ya heard?

(Words/Grown Folks Talk) I wanna blog about it but I might hurt ya'lls feelings...

@ the Tiger/Shaq/Gilbert/slash celebs cheating and cats getting all up in arms about it.

I will ask this question for now though...

How many times are we gonna fall for the banana up the tail pipe?- Eddie Murphy Beverly Hills Cop paraphrased...@ these 'images' that the PR departments carefully craft.

Who is REALLY believing this shit? I know not some of you same cats that claim TO BE SO SMART? I know you are not so smart you are stupid are you? You REALLY believe 'cause a ni##a sells some Buicks and plays a non contact sport he is a (I use this term hella loosely too) 'good person'? That he is beyond fucking up? You are dumber than I thought then. No way should you be this upset. @ just how upset people are.

This shit is dumb. For the record, I didn't see ya'll going this hard on the the Gilbert Arenas gal either. Yeah, you called her a hoe or some shit and then you dropped it. Wow. Really? (Google the shit if you don't know about Gilbert and Shaq and sharing Gil's fiancee'...)

Shit happens. Bless 'em all and I hope that no one dies over the whole world trying to make this event seem like it is the end of the World. It is like you are trying to drive Elin to do some foul shit.

Oh yeah and don't condone that 9 iron shit now (her busting his windows out and him being hurt) if you still want to castrate Chris Brown. I see you...Ready to flip the script. He was fucking around. Some of you told Chris that if Rih was messing around, he should just leave and no violence. Where is all that advice you had for Chris when it comes to Elin?

To all my perfect Patties out there (shout out to Krissy for the term), PRAY THAT I AM NOT THERE WHEN YOU SCREW UP. 'Cause I am going to go in on you something terrible offa GP for you and your pompous attitude. Bad things happen in good peoples lives too even of the good person's own doing. It is called life dammit. Good to know you don't intend to do wrong but I am guessing that you are not without sin. And if you are not without sin nor have to power to decide which sin is bigger than the other, I highly suggest you KEEP YOUR POMPOUS ATTITUDE to yourself. #Justsaying. I don't give two more craps about Tiger or Elin than I did a week ago in regards to their relationship, what she or he should do to maintain it or none of that. For all I know (or you either), they have had this issue from the door.

As for the media (and those who agree), this is how I feel..Straight from my Twitter. I imagine them saying something like this:

"We GOT HIM. That nig...I mean that guy slipped up! Yes!! @ the World. Now I can feel better about myself..(Stares into the camera"

Some of you are mad 'cause he won't speak on it. Trust me, the best thing he can do is SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT IT. The more he talks, the worse it is gonna get. People asking questions that don't have 'right answers'. More judgments. Nothing good can come outta answering the 'public's' questions of who/what/where/and ESPECIALLY WHY.

Stay outta grown folks business ya'll.Worry about your own yard. ....Shit..

I have another post on this I am working on but it will be awhile before I post it up I think so this is all for now.....Maybe.
