Now I am sure if you have been here before, you have seen his work. He has amassed QUITE A BIT OF FOOTAGE of his own and it looks like he is ready to share some of it with us. I personally can't wait for him to take us behind the scenes and to recapture some of the moments he has been blessed to be a part of. Check for trailers in the coming months as I know how Kev is....HE IS STILL COLLECTING DATA FOR THIS DOCUMENTARY AS WE SPEAK KNOWING HIM. I expect lots of trailers....lots of teasers and all of that. Trust me, the faces you see up top are not a 'tease'. He has the footage. Be on the look out for it..

That Booty is a club staple in the Tri-State Area. It comes on and folks just get it in. Lots of folks come here to listen to the song DAILY.
The beat is a lil bit different on 'Shake 'Em Off' than what you are used to hearing from the man that produced 'Holla At Me" and "G-Shit" along with the hits for Meek Mill has done. Shizz handles his business on that joint as well and it is a PERSONAL FAVORITE OF THE WAREHOUSE.

I know a lot of you thought because of the Panjabi MC record I posted up, OT Records was just going to 'sit still' and wait on the label (E1 Entertainment) to do its work for them. No. They are still grinding. Still trying to do things the way they were when they got signed. This is an example.
This is one of the tracks that I heard awhile ago but couldn't really talk about. Keena came on this joint and did the thing. Shizz is on the hook as well as spitting bars. This is one BIG BEAT too. Speaking of doing things.....DJ Bran was on 91.3 WVUD on Sunday. Putting it down. They played his mix and he got some great reviews. Go check him out over on Twitter. It looks like we might have seen the seeds planted for a 'future' appearance by OT Records on the show. As long as they don't bring the 'whole OT Records' with them...lol...Shoutout to TEAMNITTYRADIO Follow them on Twitter. He also bought with him Kevin Allen of "Killavision". They both held it down. If I know Kevin, there was a camera there. Probably a video camera and a still camera. You know what that means? There will be pictures and video of this event. If you live in Philly or follow the Philly rap scene, I don't have to say anything about 'who' Meek Mill is. For those of you who don't know, Meek Mill is probably THE HOTTEST RAPPER IN PHILLY RIGHT NOW. Signed to Grand Hustle and just outright nasty on the mic. Well here he is linking up with Philly native (Atlanta transplant) DJ Drama to bring you part three of his 'Flamers' series. (You need to go back and get the other joints and catch back up so you can get the full experience.)
Now as many of you know by now, I am an 'older' rap fan so I don't easily impress. I GREW UP ON RAP pretty much from its beginning so I feel I am pretty qualified when it comes to at least talking about. This guy can SPIT. He just has 'it'. You don't believe me. Go find it yourself. He did something that most rappers can't do. Manage to hold his on on the mic with Black Thought who, as many of you who follow the blog know, is my third favorite rapper of ALL TIME. Yes, I said it again. What?

Twitter Person of the Week pt. 2- @MeekMill
He is 'next' in Philly. Cats IN Philly and on the mixtape scene already know about him. As do some folks here as he has TAKEN over the radio/club on more than one Saturday night or two. It is time for the rest of World to do so. He signed to a deal with Grand Hustle in '08 and has been out there grinding BEFORE and AFTER this signing. I am sure some of you heard about that. I picked him for two reasons. He is an up and coming artist. His music CONVERTED me into a fan. I will be HONEST. I had heard of him but had him lumped in with the rest. I was encouraged to do some research by someone not affiliated with him at the time. The music got me. The boy can SPIT. You hear me? He can go. He is official. For real. Second reason? He will be performing this weekend. Yes, THIS WEEKEND. In Delaware. With my boys.
That is right, Meek Mill, Shizz Nitty and the whole OT Records crew are putting on a show in honor of the boy Tega Montana. If you live in the Tri-State area (NJ,DE,PA or even MD) or will be in the area, come on down. This will not be a 'fly through' performance where you see them in the VIP and they 'speak' on the mic for 5 minutes in between the DJ spinning. No sir. All parties involved WILL be performing. This young man right here HAS SOME SERIOUS SKILLS. Anytime your Pops is the DJ at a popular roller skating rink, you know YOU HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO GOOD MUSIC and the art of DJing. DJ BRAN is no exception. Here is a lil excerpt from his bio at DJBRAN.COM
"Throughout high school, Bran was DJ’in his own homecoming and Prom dances. While still at the skating rink, His dad brought Artist and Local radio personalities to hype up the sessions. Bran was then discovered by Pooch man of “The Hot Boys” on Power 99 in 2003 and was invited to be a guest DJ their night show. In 2004 his father told him about a mix contest at 92q, a popular hip hop radio station in Baltimore Maryland. The long drive was worth it to Baltimore and Bran was picked to be interviewed live on the air. Building a name during high school from being interviewed on local radio, He started to DJ the local teen parties in Delaware. Doing many events graduated him to doing clubs, and Bran wasn’t even 21 or old enough to get in. At age 17 he was the youngest in the club and you would have never thought it was a kid on the turntables pleasing crowds of age 21+."
So as you can see, once again, this is a person that is DEFINITELY on the rise. He is also the DJ for OT Records and has a HEAVY HAND (read between the lines people) in the mixtapes that are coming out of that camp. All of his mixtapes feature seamless transitions and 'very minimal talking and yelling'. Which I love.
